about

“Who tends the flames? Can he reignite the spark even as it grows cold and weak?” – Dana Scully

“Die Hand Die Verletzt Pt.02 [Single]” represents the second half of the closing chapter of 2018’s “Item 07: Primordial Matter”. Unlike its predecessor, this release is primarily focused on communicating a message without a voice or words but rather through texture and mood; the first to do so since 2017’s “Item 03: Gone//Still [EP]” of which this work is a direct descendent. The first track extends and warps “Die Hand Die Verletzt” into nothingness from which a new composition is formed; this being inspired by its namesake. The second track, (P) Walkeri, is derived from the work done by Sandia National Laboratories in December of 1997 in recreating the sounds made by Parasaurolophus via the use of 3-D modeling and computer simulation. All credit for source material goes to them. More information on their project can be found here: www.sandia.gov/LabNews/LN12-19-9…nosaur_story.html. This track most directly points towards the next direction for this musical and artistic endeavor.
