“He will cease because you will cease.”

“Songs for God [Vol. 01]” originally began in late April of 2017 as an EP which was to be comprised of reworked ”Christian rock” songs as well as original compositions. As the Virtual Memory project expanded in scope and other releases took precedence over “Songs for God”, the album evolved and grew in length and complexity until, by the beginning of 2018, it had become the winding, delusional, maddening journey into the wilderness of solitude that is presented here. This work as such represents the end of one passage in time and the beginning of another. Further, always further.

Created in Audacity, each reworking only uses elements found in the original source material with no outside additions. Likewise, as with all previous releases, each original composition is created using only manipulated field recordings and no digital instrumentation [except for contributions made by Uunslit and α Ori].

A sincere thank you to Uunslit and α Ori for their invaluable contributions, input, perspective, and vision. Their work is art at its most honest, raw, and terrifying.
